Last 2 layouts with Crate Paper Journey - By Linda Eggleton

Good morning everyone :)

I have 2 final layouts to share today using the fabulous Crate Paper Journey collection
They are both using photos from our recent holiday.

"Travel Bug"

I have used the map side of the Navigate paper for this layout....adding some colour to it by dabbing on some coordinating coloured mists.  I sprayed the mist onto some scrunched up cling-wrap, and then dabbed it randomly over the page.  I've then layered up a variety of papers & embellishments.

Most of the smaller pieces you can see in amongst the layers of paper, are pieces that have been cut in half, with the other half being utilised elsewhere on the page, or on previous pages already created....no point having such fabulous pieces hidden in under the layers, I say!

The cluster is made up of some Green Tara flowers, Flutterby flair & the gorgeous row of feathers is from the Cardstock & Vellum Ephemera pack....and it is g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!

After layering & clustering, I have then added a variety of stickers & ephemera pieces over the page.
Here you can see some of the cork arrows, stickers & vellum ephemera.

The piece with the saying "Not all who wander are lost" is from the "Let's Go" paper....and it just had to be used, as this is so me! :)  The mustard coloured paper with the arrows is also from the Let's Go paper, and it's been cut in half, using each piece on either side of the layering under the photo.

The cute little camera is also from the Ephemera pack - there are truly so many
fabulous pieces in this pack!

I have used one of the cork phrases as part of the title....and also some more of the cork arrows at the side of the photo.

The cute little travel tags are cut from the Let's Go paper also...and the pink one is from the Ephemera pack.  At the top of the page I've used some of the triangular stickers along with another ephemera piece to create a bit of a banner, with one of the cut off strips running across the top of the page as well.

I have some journaling on the back of the page about me & my travel bug :D

"Hello Stanley"

This time I've used a much plainer piece for the background - Itinerary,
and I've added a small amount of colour to it by flicking on a few different coloured mists.

For my cluster, I've used some Green Tara flowers again, as well as a couple of pieces from the Ephemera pack, and then I've added some 2Crafty Indian Feathers that I've coated in Gesso & then painted with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose distress spray stain....and finished them off by adding some of the puffy feather stickers on top.

I cut the "Hello" out from one of the Gold Foil Tags to form part of the title, and also some of the alpha stickers that are part of the sticker sheet for the rest of the title.

I used one of the smaller 2Crafty polaroid frames to highlight Stanley (a big metal emu made from VB bonnets, doors etc) on one of the photos....and again I've cut some of those fabulous travel tags from both the Let's Go & Voyage papers.

Making good use of ALL the different embellies with this collection - there really is such a vast amount of them!  More cut tags, ephemera & sticker pieces.

And more of the above....with the addition of a cork heart & a small piece cut from one of the Gold Foil tags at the top of the layers there.

And here's a close up of the main area of the page.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my creations with this lovely collection over the past 5 weeks :)
Next week is a new month, so I will be playing with a new collection...I wonder what it could be?!

Until then...happy scrapping :)
xx

Kaisercraft Botanica & Little One by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Finishing off the month with two layouts created using two of the new Kaisecraft collections for this month, Botanica and Little One. Great collections as usual with lots of matching embellishments.

My first share for today is Time is a Great Storyteller:

My photograph is a copy of one of my Dads original photos from 1955. The black and white photo with it's greenish tinge went perfectly together with the neutrals in the Botanica collection. The friendship embellishments were the right touch for this group photo of his cycling club.

The 2Crafty title I have chosen, Time is a Great Storyteller, reminds me of Dad who has been known to embellish tales of the past!! I've used a combo of green and pinecone inks to give the title a worn look.

On this close up you can see some of the subtle texture I have created with some texture paste and ink sprays. Another 2Crafty piece, a cog has been inked in the green and pinecone like the title, but I have added some crackle texture to it to age it a little more. I've even added a few subtle, neutral flowers to my page.

My second share today is This is Love

This paper; Kaisercrafts Little One, is just cute, cute, cute!! I love it's cutesiness. Perfect for all baby photos as it comes in both "girl" and "boy" colours, but really they ALL work well for any baby photos. I have used a combination of papers and both the "girl" and "boy" stickers from the sticker sheets.

I love these owls from the Collectibles pack and lots of sweet baby words on the sticker sheet. Totally adorable.

Cute hot air balloons, I have mounted one over another in the sky.

I've made a sweet little banner to add a little more green to my page and a little fun to go with the owls and hot air ballons. Too much cute!

Thanks for stopping by today
Till next week
Fiona

Crate Paper Journey by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone & welcome to the blog today.

I have another layout to share using Crate Paper Journey collection,
and I've used photos from our travels to the far west of NSW a few years ago.

"Mad Max"

This page is a little different, colour wise, to the previous pages from this collection.
I've used the Journey paper for the background, but have put it on it's side, so that the arrows were horizontal, rather than vertical.  I really like the natural cork look of this paper, and thought it would go well with these photos of the cars from the movie Mad Max, out at Silverton near Broken Hill.

To brighten the page up a bit from the brown background, I've added a mixture of more colourful papers, stickers, diecuts etc that are part of the collection...including a few of the
gold blingy bits from the Ephemera pack & sticker sheet.

I've placed the different diecuts & stickers up on foam tape to add a bit of height, and have been busy cutting out more of the fabulous little travel tags from the Voyage paper.

The cute lil camera is from 2Crafty...and I've coloured it with my Gelatos (straight onto the raw chipboard).  The small alpha stickers are from the Journey sticker sheets, and the large red ones are from a previous DT kit - Echo Park Capture Life.

Most of the pieces above the photo here are from the Ephemera pack - again up on foam tape.
But the shield shaped Route 101 is from the cardstock sticker sheet.

And here's a close up of the main area of the page.

Thanks again for dropping by today :)

More Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

I'm back again with the fabulous Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss Collection. This week I have created a layout from our trip to Townsville last year, just perfect with this tropical themed collection. For those in most parts of Australia, hope this collection makes you feel a bit warmer!!

Banyan Trees

These trees were growing everywhere along the Strand when we visited and the kids thought they were pretty cool, and I naturally take advantage of a photo opportunity! As the kids are all in a variety of attire but the trees are grey, I decided to go with a neutral background but add lots of different colours from the range together.

I love this pineapple, just too cute. It and the little gold heart are from the Chipboard Sticker Sheet and the Wood Veneer sign is from the Wood Veener Shapes set , both in the Citrus Bliss collection. I've added a little more bling with some gold sequins.

Love, love these gold alphas! Super shiny, and a bit hard to photograph
but they are awesome so check them out!

Thanks for stopping by,
till next week
Fiona

3rd layout using Crate Paper "Journey" - by Linda Eggleton

A big hello to everyone & welcome to the blog.

I am back to share another layout using Crate Paper - Journey collection,
and this time have gone for a non travel themed layout....showing that other layouts can be created with this collection besides travel/holiday pages.

"Hello Sunshine"
I have used the striped side of the Route paper for my background, as I felt it had a lovely feel to it for creating a girly themed page.  I've added a touch of subtle stamping using Kaisercraft Morocco stamp & my Gelatos.  The large white piece with the blue grid is from the cardboard packaging of the Cork phrases & Arrows - it is a good decent sized piece with versatile colours & pattern,
so why not put it to use :)

I've used a variety of the Journey embellishments - Here you can see one of the Gold foil acetate tags, along side one of the Ephemera tags and then over the far left side I've cut a few of the travel tags from the Voyage paper as well as a Cardstock tag sticker.  The little gold triangles are from the Puffy Icon sticker pack.  The cluster is made up of Green Tara & Prima flowers &
some of the diecuts from the Ephemera pack.

I have to say that I am not normally one to scrap with bling & metallic type products, but I am really loving all the gold & glitter embellies in this collection - it adds such a lovely touch :)

The frame around the photo is a 2Crafty Polaroid frame that I've turned on its side & painted in white gesso.  You can also see some more of the Puffy Icon stickers & Vellum & Cardstock Ephemera pieces.

The title is made up of Cork phrases & alpha stickers from the Cardstock sticker sheet.
And I've also added another 2Crafty polaroid frame that I cut into 2 pieces, and placed it at the top & bottom of the layered papers, and I've coloured these with the same coloured Gelato
as the stamping on the background.

I also used some of the cork arrows at the bottom & top of the page.
The red coloured scalloped strip is cut from one of the cut-off strips at the bottom of each page...and I've also added a strip of Kaisercraft white lace for some added texture.

Here is a close up of the main area of the page.
Pic is of my cute little G Niece, Olivia <3...so as you can see, a cute girly page can easily be created with this travel themed collection.

I hope you have been inspired by this page :)
Until next time...xx

Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

It might be freezing here in Sydney but it is perfect scrapping weather and it helps to be creating with lovely summer colours!!

This week I am creating with the stunning Citrus Bliss collection from Pink Paislee. Lots of tropical themed papers and embellishments with complimenting plainer papers that make this range super versatile.

Today's layout is Hello Beautiful

The gorgeous "Fresh" paper with its' bright pink background and fruity pattern was just perfect to highlight the little bit of the pink on the dress in the photo with hints of green to compliment the background.

I've divided my paper almost in line with the division in my photo, adding a mix of green and then continuing on to the white, lightly patterned paper.

I love these fabulous gold glitter words, they really pop on the page!

I've used a mix of Crate paper embellishments and a small cluster of mixed flowers;

and similarly on this side, some Citrus Bliss embellishments and matching flowers. Love the cute "The Sweet Life" triangle.

More Crate Paper - Journey by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone

I am back to share my 2nd layout for July using Crate Paper - Journey....again scrapping some photos from our recent trip away to Lightning Ridge.

"Fun Memories"

I have used the Chevron Gold Foil paper for the background - this paper is like a specialty type paper, being single sides & has those gorgeous gold foil chevrons running across the page.

For the title, I have used a combination of the Cork word stickers & a sticker from the Cardstock sticker sheet - which has 2 6x12 sheets FULL of fabulous co-ordinating stickers, including some alpha's

The cluster is made up of Green Tara flowers, Flutterby Designs Flair & some of the feathers from the Ephemera pack & sticker sheets....which have some gorgeous gold glitter on the tips.

I have used one of the Gold Foil acetate tags under the photo, mounted onto a piece of the teal coloured Quest paper...that I toned down the colour slightly with a coat of gesso, just so that the gold foil tag stood out more against the paper.  The Cardstock & Vellum ephemera pack has so many gorgeous pieces - including this little arrow with gold glitter highlights.

I have used one of the 2Crafty Circle Revolution frames in under the paper layers, and have coloured it with a coat of gesso & then one of my grey gelatos.  The Chevron Bits are also 2Crafty chipboard, and again coloured with gesso & gelatos.  The bingo card was cut from the Let's Go paper...and I've only used a small section of the top of the card, saving the rest to use another time.

The Voyage paper is full of fun little luggage type tags, and I've cut a few of them out & tucked them in between my photo & paper layers at the top of the photo.  The piece to the right of the paper is one of the Vellum pieces in the Ephemera pack.

Here's a close up of the photo area of the page.
Photos are of just one of the MANY old rusty cars that have been left out on the opal mine fields of lightning Ridge - this one stood out to me, being a pastel pink!
Thanks for taking the time to see my work...I do hope you have been inspired :)
