"Let Your Light Shine" with Jillibean Soup Hardy Hogdepodge by Kerryn Fry

Hi there AAS followers.

It's finally Friday, my favourite day of the week and it's also the last day of March already.
Boy how the days are flying.

Today's project almost finishes off my collection of Jillibean Soup Hardy Hodgepodge
and I am just loving the brightness of its colours against the black cardstock.
The photos are from the boy's school camp in December last year with a great bunch of kids.
He misses them heaps after moving to a new school to start middle school.

As always, 2 Crafty chipboard has enhanced my page perfectly.
The title 'Let your light shine' was ear-marked for the photos from the beginning.
The title itself inspired the way it was decorated.
The first layer was to cover with Distress Paints in Broken China and Wild Honey.
I added Diamond Stickles to the word Shine and then finished with Dimensional Magic.

Aiden's Arrows were given a similar work over with the Distress Paint and
Dimensional Magic, plus a layer of stamping.

I kept this page clean and simple with the black cardstock doing all the work.
Thanks for visiting the blog today and hop you have a crafty weekend.

"Enjoying the ride" by Amanda Hartmann

Hello to you all,

Do you ever find a paper and know you have a perfect photo for it?
I was lucky enough to visit the NASA space station in Florida a couple of years
back and I thought this was perfect with the Shimelle - Starshine Collection.

Here is my page:

The centre piece of this page is the awesome blue piece of paper "Curiosity"- perfect colour and design for this page! I find great blue papers hard to find, so this is a cracker!

I have layered more papers behind the photo, including some Fancy pants corrugated cardstock, black cardstock and the cute text patterned paper "Hubble", also from the Shimelle - Starshine range. I have also mounted the whole page on some white cardstock.

Also an important part of this page is the 2 Crafty Circle Dot Frame, after inking it grey,
I embossed it using a fine silver embossing powder.
This corner includes a tassel and tags from the Cocoa Vanilla Bits and Pieces pack.

I add some Cocoa Vanilla Enamel Dots onto some of the circles on the chipboard. You will also see some scattered around the page. Other details added to the page, some 2 Crafty gears, inked in black, and some stars, also embossed in silver.

For stickers, I added some word stickers from the Cocoa Vanilla Accessory Stickers, as well as some stickers ("lucky", "enjoying the ride", white star) from a Simple Stories range.

Thanks for looking today!

My Super Hero by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have something a little different for me. I had these cute photos of my daughter dressed as superman. I have used my cameo to create a superman cut file onto the solar system paper from the Space Academy collection by Carta Bella.

My Super Hero

A close up of the Superman die cut:

I've used stickers from the Reminisce My Super Hero collection and the speech bubbles are from Bella Boulevardes Addison collection.

I've finished off my page with some wood veneer stars and some rather old rubber embellishments from my stash - you can find similar rocket themed stickers in the Space Academy collection here

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Happiness Found with Echo Park Paper Co by Kerryn Fry

Welcome to the blog today on this fabulous Friday.
It's my turn to share my project and this week I am still creating with the
Echo Park Paper Co collection Jungle Safari.
Our trip to the Zoo photos from January continue to play a roll in my pages,
it was a fabulous day with the boy, my sister and my nieces.
We were trying unsuccessfully to find the pandas, but they were too busy eating in their enclosures.
We settled for the next best thing, a statue and some bamboo.

I had fun layering Crafter's Workshop templates, Memory Box Stencil and Distress Inks in the background.
I added faux stitch doodling using a black pen around the leaf stencil.
The 2 Crafty Bamboo Stems were painted with different shades of green Distress Paints
and became the support for the cluster at the base of the page.
I love cutting out photos too

Lots of fussy cutting from the papers in the collection, the cheapest form of embellishments
and usually the simplest.
Plenty of dimension created with foam tape and layering.
You will also spot a few random pieces from the Jillibean Soup Hardy Hodgepodge Pea Pod Parts

Thanks for visiting the blog today.
Hopefully you have been inspired to sit and create
Have a fabulously crafty weekend!

"Captured" by Amanda

Hello again, and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday to inspire!

Do you ever get your hands on a beautiful piece of paper, and the only possible thing to do is to fussy cut it? That's how I started out with this page, when I found one of the amazing floral papers from the  Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection.

I used the combination of 5 different pieces of paper from the range (listed below) and used them in the layers behind the photo, in the strips and the background and of course for the fussy cutting. The whole page is also mounted on a white cardstock base, my favourite thing to do.

Once I had the papers sorted, I looked for some bits and pieces to add the clusters to finish the page. You can see some of these details in close ups.

Firstly I inked some 2Crafty Butterflies using Prima Chalk Ink, once nestled in the flower I added a coat of Dimensional Magic

Under the layers of the fussy cut flower, I tucked some white hearts and vines from the awesome Thickers pack that come in the Take Me Away range.

Some of the grey colour tones in the diecuts from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Love Always collection matched the colour tones of this page, so I had these into the clusters also. I also sprinkled some crystals from the Bits and pieces pack and also some sparkly enamel dots.

Thanks for looking today.
A pretty page, totally made by the amazing papers from Take Me Away.

This is Me with Echo Park Just be You by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back this week with a selfie layout, featuring Echo Parks Just be You collection. Love the colours in this collection, so pretyy!
This is Me

I've created a watercolour background for this layout with some paints and water,
using the good old plastic technique, then added some splatters with a paintbrush.

Next some paper layering with some added layers of paper and chipboard doilies. The chippy doilies have been inked in green to match the paper. Following this I've added some layers with the sticker sheet - around my photo and a cluster to the bottom.

Close-up of layered stickers:

My 2Crafty title is inked in navy, one of the lesser used colours in the paper
that makes the title stand out.

Till next week
Fiona

In the Blink of an Eye with Jillibean Soup Hardy Hogdepodge by Kerryn Fry

Good morning All
Another fabulous Friday share for you today using Jillibean Soup Hardy Hodgepodge.
A fun page created to capture our boys last day at his primary school with his mates.

I started the page with kraft cardstock and some light stencilling using Distress Ink.
The 2Crafty chipboard title 'In the Blink of an Eye' was just perfect for the layout
and was exactly how I felt!
How quickly 7 years have passed.
Two different shades of blue from the Distress Paint range were used for the title and
more Distress Paint for the Dotty Bits

The Word Bubbles have been backed with patterned paper, painted with a metallic grey and a thick coat of Dimensional MagicAidan's Arrows was covered with the same metallic paint.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and have a fun and crafty weekend.

"Hooray" with Kaisercraft Party Time by Amanda

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my Wednesday page share!
 Got a party to scrapbook?
Then you are in the right place!
Party Layout coming right at ya!

I used the Kaisercraft Party Time collection to create this page.

As well as some of the awesome papers in the range, I also used both the diecuts and
stickers from this collection to add detail to this page.

Check out these close ups to see other things used to finish the page:

The fun and funky puffy stickers from the Fancy Pants Joy Parade collection were
fabulous for this page.
Added to that are some sequins from my stash, and flowers and enamel shapes from
Cocoa Vanilla - perfect finishing touches.

Don't forget to use foam tape on die cuts to make them pop off your page.

Diecut words can be enhanced as your titles, when you carefully add Dimensional Magic
to them once they are stuck down. Anything to add dimensional and shine to a page!
Have a great day,
Amanda

Vacation Time with Crate Paper Oasis by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another layout created using Crate Paper's Oasis Collection:

Vacation Time

Loving this collection with its summery theme. I've taken the wavy background paper and added some blue with Dylusions paint in London Blue - using the plastic bag technique. I've mounted this onto black cardstock to add a touch more black to the page.

Next I have layered up several of the patterned papers, and added some texture layers with 2Crafty chipboard - randomly inked in gold ink in parts.

I've used the ephemera pack in the range to embellish and journal my page.  Loving the gold palm leaf. And adding the cute wood veneer from Kaisercraft Life's a Beach range is the perfect complimentary embellishment.

I've finished the page with some vintage prima flowers, some CVS flair and the cutest puffy stickers that are part of the Crate Paper Oasis range.
