Delight by Amanda H

Hello AAS fans!

Today is my last page to share for November.
This page started with some classic black and white... and then I had to add my
favourite colour combo: yellow and mint. I combined papers from
Kaisercraft - Christmas Edition, papers and stickers from Crate Paper - Carousel
with some 2 Crafty Chipboard, all coloured with Colour Blast.

To start this page, I glued some 2Crafty chipboard pieces to a piece of white cardstock.
I knew roughly where my photo would go, so I stuck the chipboard so that it would be a
feature behind. The 2Crafty chipboard pieces I used were: Freda's Butterflies, a flourish from Leafy Shrub Set 2, and Moroccan Bits.

With all chipboard glued, I gave the whole page a good coat of Gesso.

I then unscrewed the lid to my bottle of Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Spray in Envy (the soft mint colour) and using a paintbrush, I painted to highlight the chipboard on the background. I like the way some of the colour pooled in the recesses of the chipboard so we see different shades of the Envy colour on the background. A few splatters were made then also.

Once I had created the colours and layers on the white cardstock, I then trimmed the edges and mounted the background on the black and white starry paper Starbright from the Carousel collection.

Next came the fussing cutting. I had a couple of sheets of paper from the Kaisercraft Christmas edition, waiting for inspiration. When I saw the flowers on the reverse of the Rejoice Paper, I decided to fussy cut them. They were the perfect addition to this page. I cut three of these and tucked them at various corners of the photo.

I mounted the photo on more of the Starbright paper, as well as some of the Uplifting paper, which brought in the first hints of yellow.

With the mint  and black and white in the background, it was easy to decide to have pops of yellow on top!

I started with the 2Crafty Chipboard Floral frame and Foliage set. I added three layers to this chipboard: 1. Yellow ink, 2. Sprayed with Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Spray in Sunshine, and 3. Dimensional Magic.

While I had the Sunshine (yellow) Colour Shimmer Spray out, I added a few splatters to the background too.

I had some flowers from the Prima - St. Tropez Flowers - Isla Marina set. They were a soft yellow. A few sprays of  Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Spray in Sunshine on the flowers gave them the perfect bright yellow colour needed for this page!

Lastly, I finished the page with some banner stickers, hearts and a bow, all taken from the Puffy Stickers pack again from the Crate Paper Carousel collection.

Here is the full list of products that I used to create this page.

Soccer Pooch with Bella Blvd
Soccer Mini Collection by Fiona Johnstone

Hi Everyone

Something a bit different for me today, a sports page!! But with a twist - it's Harry who loves soccer... well the soccer ball at least!!

Soccer Pooch

I couldn't resist using this paper for these recent photos of Harry. We had been playing fetch with a tennis ball and then he came back with this soccer ball instead. He then hid under the trampoline because he didn't want to share his good find!

The Bella Blvd papers were perfect! First I created a background using a wide brush and some watered down paint - Dylusions in Fresh Lime. Next I added some Cut Grass Dylusions paints to some texture paste and did some star masking.

I've layered up the Bella Blvd papers, and fussy cut one of the soccer balls from the paper to use as an embellishment.  I then continued the theme with the stars and found a few star embellishments to add to the layout.

My favourite part is this fabulous title! The word Soccer is made from acrylic and is from the Bella Blvd collection. Isn't it amazing? I've added some stickers from my stash to finish off the title.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Snow Dance with Kaisercraft Mint Wishes by Kerryn Fry

Good morning AAS followers.
Another fabulous Friday and I'm back to share my next project.
I've used the gorgeous Kaisercraft collection Mint Wishes again this week,
but this time for more snow photos.
The photos are from our snow trip this year
and feature Mr 13 and his Aunty doing a little hot shoe shuffle.
The page started with a Kraft Cardstock base,
a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and some Distress Ink.
I have randomly inked some snowflakes onto the base to be visible around the photos.
The next layer is some stamping using Picket Fence Distress Ink and Bo Bunny stamp.
I have added a little Diamond Stickles to the centre of the stamped snowflakes
Some of the snowflake clusters have been started with some baking paper layers.
I have free cut the larger snowflake with the help of google.

The smaller baking paper snowflakes have been die-cut using a Tim Holtz die.
I love the extra layer they give and it's such a simple product that can be found at home.
A few layers of patterned paper are used to create a base for the photos
and a place to journal later.
The sentiment has been cut from an off-cut piece of the patterned paper,
nothing to waste here.

I have gathered a few different snowflake dies over the past few years,
they included some Tim Holtz and Kaisercraft dies.
Using a few scrap pieces of the Kaisercraft papers, I have cut different sizes
of snowflakes to build the clusters on the page.

The title and year date have been done using some old alphas that matched
perfectly to the colours in the papers.

Thanks for visiting us today.
I hope you found the page enjoyable and inspiring.
I love to do projects about our snow trips.
Please join us again on Monday when Fiona will be here
to share her next page.

Wind Power
by Amanda H

Hi everyone!

Another travel page to share today!

Recently, I was checking the Clearance section in store, looking for a bargain! {PS. Have
 you checked it out lately? So many awesome papers to pick up at great discounts!}
I found a sheet of navy and red paper from My Minds Eye and knew it would be perfect
for a travel page.
I combined this with some awesome 2Crafty chipboard to complete this page.

I started with a piece of white cardstock, and my one sheet of My Minds Eye paper "Open Seas".
I cut the navy map paper, fixing 2/3rds of the paper to the background. I used the red stripes on the reverse to back my photo. I also added a layer of white cardstock and Fancy pants corrugated white cardboard behind the photo.

I have layered the papers, the photo and the 2 Crafty chipboard. You will also notice some subtle splatters. I mixed a small amount of Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Dust in Navy with water and used this to splatter from a paint brush on the white side of the layout.

Let's look closer at some of the other elements on the page.

For the title, I used the alphabet letters from the Pink Fresh Escape the Ordinary collection. I placed the title on a layer of the red striped paper and some more white corrugated card. I added some small red letters from my stash to complete the title.

Now let's look at the chipboard. I used 2 Crafty Gears and Foliage flourishes.

For the gears, first I sprayed them with Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Spray in Fire Engine. Then I painted them using Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Dust in Candy.

For the Foliage, first I inked with navy ink, before painting with Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Dust in Navy.

All chipboard was given a coat of Dimensional Magic.

I found a red tulip in my bag of  Pinkfresh - Escape the Ordinary Ephemera, and that seemed perfect for my dutch page!

I finished the cluster, with some red sticker words from my stash and some Bella Blvd puffy blue stars.

Thanks for looking today.

Amanda

Beauty with Pink Paislee Turn the Page
by Fiona Johnstone

Hi Everyone

Back with another layout from the Pink Paislee Turn the Page collection!
Can not get enough of the colour combination of this range, love it so much!
 Here is todays layout:

Beauty

When I scrap, I usually work out my papers and how I will use them before I add
my background. In this case, I had assembled the body of my page, then
decided to use some Dylusions Paints in Yellow add a little pop of colour to the page.
I watered the paint down and used a paintbrush to add the colour where I knew
the cut frame would go, then added some splatters.

I had a bit of white space on my photo so thought I would add a sub -title to
the page, straight onto the photo. It really pops against the green background.
Then I added a couple of little yellow roses and a beautiful butterfly flair.

I've used the co-ordinating Alphas for this page, they are so pretty!
I added a cute heart and a lovely rose in pinks and yellow to keep
 my colour scheme going!

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Tis The Season with Kaisercraft Mint Wishes by Kerryn Fry

Good morning Crafters
I can't believe we are already half way through this month.
Today I am sharing a page created using the beautiful Christmas
collection Kaisercraft Mint Wishes.
Absolutely love the colour.
I have gone back into the archives for this photo,
Mr 13 back as Mr 7, way too cute!

I have started my page using the paper Logs as the base.
The white cardstock has been cut down to 11x11 so the logs are still visible underneath..
I've grabbed Distress Inks in the colours Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles.
I have swiped the inks onto a messy mat, sprayed a little water and
then randomly applied to the cardstock using some glad wrap and plastic packaging.
With some gold ink and the Kaisercraft Crackle Texture Stamp,
I have added another layer to the page.

I love the dimension the Christmas decorations from the Collectables Pack added to the background.
I have lifted two of them with foam tap and added some bling using Stickles Diamond.
The strings have been doodled with Gold Metallic Pen.

The top right of the page has been decorated with patterened paper and wood veneer.
I rescued the lace trim from the bottom strip of a patterned paper, fussy cut the lace out and the finishing tough was again Distress Stickles - Diamond.

I have built up the clusters of embellishments around the photo using the patterned papers,
Collectables Pack and some foam tape.
The title has been hand cut for the paper Flannelette.

I had plenty of fun highlighting different areas with Diamond Stickles
I love adding it to the fluff of the Christmas hat, it frames Mr 13's face so perfectly

The Sticker Sheet helped to add the finishing touches to the page.
I have used some of the strips to blend with the layers of patterned papers.
The saying was cut into smaller words to fit along the side of the photo.

I hope the page has inspired you to pull out those Christmas photos
and to start creating with them.
I've got a few more photos printed ready to start the next page.
Thanks for visiting today, have a fabulous weekend.

Wonderful traditions
by Amanda H

Hello everyone!

I have another Christmas page to share today!
One that shows my girls enjoying one of our Christmas traditions - making gingerbread biscuits.

I started with the Kaisercraft "Mint Wishes" collection for this page, and coloured some embellishments in pink (using Colour Blast) as a highlight colour. I love the combination!

I started with a white cardstock based. I also used the white cardstock to mount the
main photo, as well as the block of mini prints.

I love that when we use mini-prints, we can include lots of photos on a layout to tell the story!

The main background paper on this page, is the "Cabin" sheet, which I love for the wood grain design. I also used the "Flannette" sheet of paper in a few places. Firstly I mounted some under the main photo, and then also added a few sneaks of the same paper under the torn places on the page.

In this close up, you can see where I fussy cut a flower from the "Flannette" paper.

With my photos, I had so much pink in them, so I decided to colour some embellishments in pink.

I used some 2 Crafty Funky Heart swirls . I inked these, then sprayed with Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Spray in Lipstick. I also gave them a coat of Dimensional Magic.

I also coloured the paper lace doily and Kaisercraft white mini paper blooms with the Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Spray in Lipstick. Perfectly matched embellishments!
For the title, I used a 2Crafty word "wonderful". To colour this, I inked the word, before spraying with Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Spray in Blush. The shimmer spray gave the title shimmer and shine!

I also did a few fine and neat splatters using Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Spray in Blush.

Last thing to show you - I added a couple of Prima flowers from previous collections:
The large turquoise flower from the
and the smaller mint flowers from the

I am really happy with how this page turned out! One of my favourite colour combos - perhaps not traditionally Christmas colours, but perfect for my photos!
