Cars Land with Carta Bella Cartopia by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I am creating with the fun Cartopia collection from Carta Bella. Lots of car and road trip themed papers made it perfect for our holiday snaps in Disney's Cars Land.

Cars Land

I've combined some embellishments from other collections that tie in well with the theme and colours; the palm tree from Crate Paper Oasis ephemera and CVS rubber charms from You Rock. alongside the stickers and ephemera from the Cartopia collection.

They work well alongside the stickers and ephemera from the Cartopia collection.
 Love the flags!

I've finished off with some thickers from my stash and some small journaling stickers.

Caution Cute Kids at Play using Simple Stories Summer Days by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone.
I am back to share another page using Simple Stories Summer Days.
This collection is so bright and cheerful, it was perfect for these happy photos of my great-nieces.
They had a ball posing with their wands.
The variety of patterns in these papers are fabulous, check, dots and chevrons to name a few.
I have lightly stenciled the kraft cardstock using a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and Distress Ink.
Using a gold gel pen I have doodled a few dots in the stencil pattern.
With a Kaisercraft Texture Stamp and red ink, I have randomly added
a second colour to the background.
The 2 Crafty title Caution Cute Kids at Play  and the Chevron Bits were
simply decorated with black ink and bronze gel pen
I have used different stickers from the Simple Stories Sticker Sheets to create clusters across the page.
I have backed some stickers with black cardstock to lift on the page
and used foam tape to add dimension to different elements.

The clouds have been fussy cut from the patterned paper Beat the heat.
I have doodled faux stitching around them using a black pen.

I love the 4x6 Sticker Sheets that Simple Stories have for each collection.
It makes it so easy to add words and elements to the page.

Thanks for visiting today.
I hope you have enjoyed my page.
Stay tuned for more from Fiona on Monday.

Winter Sun by Amanda H

Hi everyone,

Yes, it is winter here in OZ, but the sun is warm and the holidays have been here. That inspired today's page, as did the new collection of papers from Pink Paislee Summer Lights Collection.

With layers of beautiful patterns at the background, and my strip of photos, I love the warm shiny feel to this page!
I cut strips of patterned paper from the Pink Paislee - Summer Lights 6x6 Paper Pad, then I used an old paper punch on each strip. I layered the strips on the white cardstock background, and did some machine stitching along the different layers.
Extra strips of papers from the Paper Pad were also cut and layered behind the photos. Also a few subtle splatters of Colour Blast Shimmer Sprays at the edges under each cluster.
I also LOVED the new Thickers alphabet stickers that came in this collection - Pink and holographic - a must-have and so perfect for this page!
Finally, let's take a closer look at the main two clusters.
The 2Crafty Gigi's Flowers are the centre pieces of these. Firstly, I covered the base piece of the chipboard flower with more papers from the Paper Pad. Then the delicate flower top piece of chipboard has been inked. I did give it a quick coat of shine from Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Envy. Once glued in place, I added a coat of Dimensional magic.
In this cluster I also included:
which are layered with the larger Gigi flower.
More of the same here, with  MME Puffy stickers and  Cocoa Vanilla Studio Enamel Shapes layered around the smaller Gigi flower!

Happy Days with Bella Blvd Pandas & Popsicles

Hello everyone

Another layout created with the delightful Panda's & Popsicles collection by Bella Blvd. As my youngest is a little obsessed with Pandas this collection was a must have. It's so cute!

Happy Days

The bright colours on the panda sculpture with the traditional black and white inspired My choice of black cardstock as a background to highlight the bright colours in the paper collection. I've used a variety of paper layers with lots of fun bright colour!

Love the cute pandas in the embellishment pack, and some cute little journaling words. I've finished off the page with some assorted enamel dots which really pop off the black.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

It's a Boy Thing using Carta Bella Toybox by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone
Welcome back to the blog on this chilly Friday morning.
Today I am featuring the awesome collection by Carta Bella 'Toybox'.
I loved creating with the colours in this collection.
My handsome boy folk are once again the stars of  my layout.

Back to my inked background for this page.
Starting with kraft cardstock as my base, I choose three colours from the papers
and three different stencils to start creating my background.
I then randomly placed patterns and colours around the planned paper area.
I used a white pen to doodle around the black letters.

The 2 Crafty title It'a Boy thing has been painted with Distress Paint
Bran Door, I've then added some doodling with a white pen.
The 2 Crafty View Finder has been covered with black ink
and then I have added some patterned paper to the back of it.
The little soldiers have been fussy cut from the 4x6 Journaling Cards.

I have used the 3x4 Journaling card for a journal spot, I have pooped it with some foam tape
and added some chevrons hand cut from the papers.

The patterned papers with fantastic and provided lots of opportunities to fussy cut
elements and add them to my page.
Plenty of foam tape to add lift and a little doodling with a black pen.
I've matted the photo with black cardstock to give it clear definition on top of the patterns.

That's all from me today, thank you for visiting the blog.
Have a lovely weekend and I hope you have been inspired.

Enjoy today, by Amanda H

  Hello again,

Welcome to my Wednesday share day! Today I am sharing a page with a photo of my "girl squad" (aka scrappy girlfriends) using the Pebbles Girl Squad Collection.

Using a few main papers in the Pebbles Girl Squad range, I layered some for the background, using some white cardstock to break the mix of patterns. I ended up going with the black/white and teal combinations, with some peachy-pink highlights; this means I have some lovely pink papers saved for another page!

As a feature I cut the squares from the Pebbles - Girl Squad Paper - Hello Friend paper and arranged them around the photo.

For the title, I used 2Crafty chipboard Enjoy Today Mini Title (which I have embossed gold) and placed at the top corner of the photo.

Throughout the page, I used 2Crafty Heart Bubbles - such an awesome set of chipboard... I love the circle elements as it seems to match the circles of the bokeh photo effect in the photo.
I have inked each set of bubbles and given a coat of Dimensional magic, also adding some gold sequins.

Also layered in the clusters are some stickers taken from the  Pebbles - Girl Squad Cardstock Stickers as well as some flowers from my stash.

Hello Goofy with Doodlebug by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another Disney share today, using a combination of papers in the
Doodlebug range.
Combining papers from different collections in the same range is a great way to
start mixing and matching as they usually co-ordinate quite well with each other.
I've used three paper collections for this layout - Dragon Tails, At the Zoo and Puppy Love.

Hello Goofy!

I've gotten out the Dylusions Paint for this page to add a pop of bright colour, love how bright and quick drying these paints are.
Then I've taken the different paper ranges to incorporate the colours in Goofy
and added several strips to my page, before adding my 3 photos.

I've dug around to find some co-ordinating  embellishments, naturally this included
some Disney themed from the Simple Stories Say Cheese ranges.

Crazy About You using Simple Stories Cabin Fever by Kerryn Fry

Hi there everyone.
I am back to share my next project using Simple Stories.
This week I'm using the fabulous collection Cabin Fever, it was perfect for the photos.
These photos were taken on our winter holiday last year, the boys being their usual silly selves.

I decided to take the fussy cutting to a different place on this page.
Having a series of photos of the boys that I wanted to use on this page, I got busy with my scissors
and cut the boys out of each photo and layered them on foam tape across the page.

The 2 Crafty Handrawn Stars were painted using Fossilized Amber Distress Paint,
then sealed with Dimensional Magic and the stars were then backed with patterned paper
to allow them to stand out of the dark background.

The 2 Crafty title Crazy About You was covered with Dina Wakely acrylic paint and
then given a thick coat of Dimensional Magic.
I have used foam tape to lift the title of the page.
I added my journalling around the edge of the page

More fussy cutting of the leaves and flowers from the patterned paper to add
at the bottom of the page amongst the logs and 2 Crafty Grass Clumps.

The grass has been sponged with three different colours of Distress Paint
and sealed with Dimensional Magic.

I had lots of fun creating this page, I love cutting people out for a different look on my layouts.
Hopefully you have found some inspiration in the process and
the Simple Stories collection is amazing to use and super versatile for different pages.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Dream Big, by Amanda H

Hello again AAS fans!

Ready for a bright page?!!
With the super cute and super bright papers from the Doodlebugs Fairytale Collection,
 I had no other choice!

Starting with white cardstock as the base, I layered up a few panels of the papers in the range. I used machine stitching for some interest.

The awesome and cute photo of my daughters has also been matted with papers and cardstock and mounted on foam tape for some dimension.

For the title, I used the 2Crafty Dream Big Title. I painted this white, before giving a spray of Shimmery white and a coat of dimensional magic.

I also painted some Miniature Circle Frames for the page, to layer in some of the clusters.

The sticker words are from the CV - Make A Wish Accessory Stickers, such simple and pretty touches!

I ended up fussy cutting some of the rainbow and clouds from the Over the Rainbow paper in the range.

I hope my daughters always DREAM BIG!
