Cute with Crate Paper Cute Girl by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with another layout using the beautiful Cute Girl collection by Crate Paper:

Cute:

For this layout I have created a light turquoise misted background using Dylusions Inks and then a mixture of patterned papers - softer ones and a doily around the photo, then the bolder patterns and colours along the edge.

I've used some pretty Green Tara flowers, Crate Cute Girl embellishments and some wood veneer to embellish. I adore the tassles from the Cute Girl range!

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

You're so Lovely layout by Rachel Lowe:

Hello lovely people and welcome to another week of scrapping inspiration.

I am starting the week off using one of the Kaiser Craft collections Ooh La La.

I chose it for a change of design and theme from my usual modern layouts.

I loved going back to my early days of scrapping where all I would scrap was vintage and shabby chic layouts.

This photo of my daughter is one of my favourites, I think the eyes have it in this photo!

I just love this 2Crafty chipboard frame and my layout flowed from this.

I inked the frame in gold and then when dry added a light layer of pine cone ink with a sponge (a old one that was quite dry) to give it a old world look.

I splattered the wood grain base paper with gold colour shine.

Whilst both these were drying I added some sewing (in my usual random style) on the floral and bird paper.

I then attached my frame with now chosen photo (the eyes have it!).

I then arranged the die cut flowers and leaves, using foam tape on the top flower to create depth.

I used a butterfly sticker and attached with foam tape so it looked like it was flying away from the floral bunch.

I also foam taped a die cut bird on the branch next to the printed bird.

To create my title I took a die cut dollie and added with foam to the centre the round die cut sentiment. I finished this off with two small enamel hearts.

I have added the lace border sticker (which I always sewed on)
to the top of my page and finished off with two die cut butterflies and some more enamel dots and hearts.

This layout would suit so many types of photos/themes.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Have a fantastic week.

xXx

Study study study
by Tammy Klingner

Hi everyone, well it's the end of the week already,
which means it's my turn to share my latest scrappy creation.

This week I had a play with the new gorgeous Bella Boulevard Addison ranges.
I also added a splash or two of Jillibean Soup Chit Chat Chowder.
I adore these new ranges - so bright and colourful, perfect for my teenage children!

Because of the bright colours, I chose to go with a white background.
I added a few splashes of watercolour, and then began layering up my papers.

I always add black when using bright colours -  I think it 'grounds' everything, and also I think it makes the bright colours seem a bit more 'teenagery' (is that a word?! Lol)

I added a few strips down one side - I love that they have a paper designed for this.
I also cut and tore into a few papers to use as layers around my photo.

I added some 2Crafty triangles, covering some in the bright scraps on my desk,
and also using the negative of the chipboard to trace some triangle shapes directly onto my background paper using a black pen.

I like the 'fun feel' this gives the layout,
and I think it works well with the story of the layout
 - it's all about how my 15 year old daughter - gorgeous creature that she is - studies.
It's something I always want to remember about her.

I then added some lettering for my title, and included some cute embellishments and stickers as well as the most important part - the journaling!!

Well that's it from me this week.
I'll see you all again next week.

Cool Dude with Bella Boulevarde by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I am sharing my latest class page for All About Scrapbooks using
 Bella Blvd Alex Collection:

Cool Dude

I love the fun, vibrant colours in this collection and to really make them pop I have created a background of black Dylusions paint and texture paste through a mask.

The papers have some great embellishments that can be fussy cut, like these cool shake & fries set:

I've finished off with some cool chipboard painted with Dylusions paints - the bright colours go perfectly with this paper collection!

My Happy Place layout by Rachel Lowe:

Hello Everyone today I have another layout using Amy Tangerine's Oh Happy Life collection.

I love this photo of my daughter when we were in Turkey, watching the sun go down over the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Not every travel photo needs a travel specific collection.

I love the sun blast paper so I cut it down and sewed some random lines in keeping with the sun rays to add texture. Here I added a sub title using one of the journal blocks 'love this so much'. I also added some sewing on this and then added some of the gorgeous puffy stickers

I just love the phrase paper and matted my photo directly on it adding a little more sewing around the edge.

I then tucked one of the super cute owls behind the phrase paper and then layered some of the die cut flowers. I added a heart puffy sticker on the owl and used foam tape on one of the floral die cuts to add height.

I painted the 2Crafty chipboard phrase 'My happy Place' in yellow and then added a thin layer of Bo Bunny Glitter paste. I finished of my title feature with a die cut bird and a puffy sticker bird.

I love this collection with its bright colours, fun patterns, phrase papers and super cute embellishments which makes it so versatile.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful week.

xXx

The girl has superpowers
by Tammy Klingner

Good morning everyone!

Can you believe it's already Friday?
And can you believe it's the middle of November?! Eeeek!

This week I've been playing with a stack of Bella Boulevard.
A bit of Addison and a bit of Illustrated Faith.

All the bright colours make me so happy!
I love how they co-ordinate so well.  I love mixing them up a little!!

I began this page by selecting the background page.
This one jumped out at me as it's my teenage daughter's favourite colour, plus this page already had flicks of paint on it - and in my 'go-to' paint flicking colour, black - PERFECT!

I then added a couple of strips of paper and a few matts around the photo.
I selected word papers for the matts - those of you who know my work know I LOVE words, and this page involved a story about words, and how they are my daughter's superpower.  So the word paper totally goes with the theme.

I then added a few embellishments in co-ordinating colours,
my title and journaling and ta-da I was done!!
Didn't even finish it off with a few flicks of paint - they were already there!!

What's New Pussycat with Crate Paper Cute Girl by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Playing with Crate Paper's Cute Girl collection this week, it is just as adorable as the boy collection!

Lily recently got this new t-shirt and the cat paper was perfect for my layout:

What's New Pussycat?

The pussycat paper was my inspiration for this page, so I found some of the co-ordinating papers in the collection to create my design. Lots of cute in my photo so the banner subtitle "cute" was perfect.

I had to have a pussycat title, seeing as she even posed as a cat! My title is from 2Crafty chipboard custom title. Some silver/grey ink to match the t-shirt and some kindy glitz for some sparkle.

I finished off the page with a little corner embellishing to balance out my page.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Just the Guys layout by Rachel Lowe:

Happy Monday everyone.

Today I am sharing my last layout using the awesome collection Alex by Bella BLVD.

I had to use up my last bits and pieces of this collection, all too great to leave.

Again I have used a white base but to give it texture and more visual interest I have used a cut file (Very Squarey The Cut Shoppe) and then added papers from the collection behind the cut file.

You can create this without a cut file machine and do by hand cutting different shaped squares and adding to the white base paper (white and patterned papers).

With the word paper I fussy cut phrases to go with the theme I was creating around my photo of my three boys.

My circle is also a cut file (Stained Glass Window by Silhouette Design Store) but again you could cut a large circle and then fill it with different sized shapes and papers to re create this effect using black as you base circle.

I would start by choosing where you would place your photo and work from there. I love paper piecing and would do this often before I entered the world of cut machines.

And this is where the fun begins, fill each section with the tabbies, paper pieces and stickers as you wish (or simply copy mine). Some elements I have foam taped to create height.

I was so pleased with the way this layout turned out, totally boy and totally cool!

Thank you for stopping by today and having a look of this fun layout.

Have a great week and see you soon.

A trio of Superhero's
by Tammy Klingner

Good morning everyone!

Well I am officially back! Back from the most amazing adventure overseas!
Feeling very grateful and super keen to scrap some of our precious memories.
Here's the first one......

For this layout, I used the awesome Crate Paper's Cool Kid range.
Such a great boyish range - and the sayings matched my photo's perfectly!

This layout was a pretty quick one.
I was very restrained, and only did a little stamping on my background before adding a few strips of paper, my photos and the embellishments.

I really love the embellishments in this range.  They are perfect for boys of any age, but particularly work well with my young teen.  The only thing I added was some 2Crafty Chipboard stars and arrows (which I painted silver, red and black), and a bit of black thread.
That's it!

Have a great weekend, and I'll be back next week.

This is the Good Life with Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Loving the warmer weather we have been having in Sydney the last week or so. Lots of fun and summery collections in the shop and I adore the bright colours in the Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness collection for my layout  - This is the Good Life

I've created a watercolour background using Distress Ink stains, then added some very light stamping before layering up papers from the Sunshine & Happiness collection. I've cut the subtitle #Happy from one of the paper pieces.

I've used a collection of embellishments from my different collections and some from my stash.

My title is 2Crafty, of course! I have inked it and then gone over it with some crackle paste for added texture.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Bella BLVD Addison layout by Rachel Lowe Always:

Hello everyone and I hope Monday is being extra kind to you.

I am sure you will have noticed that I am a huge fan of Bella BLVD and the new collections are no exception.

This collection is called Addison and is a totally girl themed collection.

The papers, die cuts, tags and tabs are just gorgeous. And who can resist feathers and florals!

Because the papers are so bright and patterned I have used a white as my base.

I have gone with lots of layering on this layout.

I have cut a 3 inch strip of the feather paper and tucked the black and white strip from the border paper under it. The black and white used as a contrast to break up the pinks.

I have used a tab as one of my layers (TOTES in Love) and then I have sewn to add further visual interest.

Before attaching my photo I placed a tab at the top, left of my photo.

This frames my photo and ensures that although this is a busy page my photo does not get distracted from.

I foamed taped the die cut yellow flowers and then punched two smaller ones from a journal card.

Again I added some random sewing for texture.

I fussy cut the light pink and blue feathers from the feather paper, layering them against the die cut hot pink feather and to make it a feature I have sewn down the centres.

Under my photo I have added the 'too cute' arrow and finished this page off with a 2Crafty word sentiment (which looks very girly and pretty) which I inked in hot pink.

I was tempted to splatter some some colour around my title but decided against it as I wanted my title to stand out and have some negative space on my layout.

This is a perfect collection and layout for your girl photos.

Thank you for stopping by and next week I have a awesome boy layout using one of the other new Bella BLVD collections, Alex.

Have a lovely week with a little scrapping thrown in.
xXx
