One last play with Echo Park's Jack & Jill Boy - By Linda Eggleton

Good morning all & welcome to the blog today.

I am back to share one last layout using the boy side of Echo Park - Jack & Jill.
I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with this collection....and have.not.used.one.single.flower.all.month!
Which is something that I didn't think was possible, as I do tend to use a lot of flowers!

"My Dad"

I've gone for a kraft background for this page....firstly because I had no full sized PP's left, plus I think it goes well with the colours of this collection :)

And adding to the kraft colour scheme, I've also used a brown lunch bag in behind the photo...which also serves as a pocket for storing a journal card....double win :)

I've used another of the 2Crafty mini hot air balloons & have coloured it using my Gelatos...no gesso underneath, just the Gelato's directly on to the chipboard, which then leaves more detail of the cuts in the chipboard.

The paper bag I folded to the size that suited the page/photo & then just taped the folded bits to the back of the bag.  I then added a piece of Jillibean Soup lattice placemat to the top of the bag.

The 2 circle pieces were cut from 2 different  pieces of the Travel & Explore papers.

I made the title from the cute little banner stickers on the Alpha sticker sheet & added some twine above.  I mounted each of the "My Dad" banner stickers onto pieces of the
orange side of the Pool paper.

I created another banner at the top of the page, using a tag from the Decorative Brads (without the brad), a banner sticker from the Alpha sticker sheet & some hand cut banners from different PP's, one with a camera image cut from the Camera paper.  The paper beside the banner that resembles paper torn from a spiral notebook, was cut from the airplane piece on the Travel paper.

I've also added some torn strips of the ruler decorative tape at the top & bottom of the photo area.

The piece popping out from the side of the bag is my journal card.

With the paper bag being folded to a smaller size, it really adds a fair bit of height to the page, which I love!  Here's a shot to give you an idea.

And here's the journal card pulled out from the bag....it is a post card from the ephemera pack, and I have more journaling that I plan to add to it.

That is it for yet another month!
I will be back in June with a new collection to play with :)))

Until then, happy scrapping.

This range has such beautiful colours in it and I am totally in love with the current gold trend so love all the glitter on this range of papers and in the embellishments. I have added a few of my own gold embellishments from other collections to really add to the gold theme!!!

And close -ups, this  subtitle is from another Crate Range I had in my stash and I have combined it with some ephemera from the Confetti pack and some gorgeous Green Tara flowers and mini roses from Kaisercraft.

My title "Always Cute" comes from a fabulous pack of Thickers by Amy Tangerine. Gorgeous gold foil over foam Thickers with lots of cute phrases. I've added some "confetti" to finish off my layout, some sequins and chipboard hearts.

More Echo Park "Jack & Jill" & Kaisercraft "Scrap Yard" - By Linda Eggleton

Hello Hello again.
Another week has rolled around so quickly!
Which means I am back to share some more work, again using
Echo Park Jack & Jill - the boy side.
"One 3rd Ownership"
I've kept this one fairly plain....no reason really, except for lack of time this week - but I still really like the finished layout.  I've used the reverse side of the Trucks paper for the background and then layered up some scrap pieces of PP, some which have been cut into banner shapes at the ends.

I then cut a heap of the car images from the Cars & Camera papers to add here & there on the page.

I've used a couple of the 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows that I've coloured with my Big Brush Pens

The car & camera images I've popped up onto foam tape to add a bit of dimension to the page.

The Decorative Brads pack comes with so many fabulous brads....I've used quite a few on each page so far, and still have a fair few left.  Here I've grouped a few together at the top left of photo.

I've used the alpha stickers for my title, and added some strip journaling that tells the basics of the story behind the photo.  I will be adding some more journaling to the back of the page, as there's quite a lot to tell about my dad & this car.

Next is my Kaisercraft DT work, using another of the May new releases, Scrap Yard.
This is a really cool arty/grungy themed collection...just perfect for masculine projects!

"Laugh Out Loud Moment"

I've used some of Kaisercraft's fabulous stamps on the background...one from the Scrap Yard collection, and also the Grid & Triangles texture stamps.
I really LOVE the natural earthy colours in this collection :)

Here's a few close ups....

There's so many cool diecuts in the Collectables pack!
These are just a few.

And some more.

I used the Kaisercraft film-strip printed tape at the bottom of the photos & the chevron's I cut into individual pieces from a large row of chevrons in the Collectables pack.

A few pieces are up on foam tape to add a bit of dimension to the page

Here's a close up of the stamping

This was an attempt to get some nice photos of DS while he was dressed nicely to go out.....
instead I got these!!! LOL

Other:  Distress Ink

Now for a card

"Best Day Eva"

I've used a variety of papers from the paper pad along with some Collectables pieces.

I also used one of the new Kaisercraft Embossing Folders - Brick Wall.
The texture & dimension this folder gives is amazing...and so, so cool!
I hope you can see it properly :)

The 2 arrows I cut from papers from the Paper Pad...using one of the arrows from the Collectables pack as a template to trace & then cut.

Here is another angle...hopefully showing the detail of the Brick Wall embossing folder.

Crate Paper Confetti by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Another new collection to share with you this month, Crate Paper Confetti. This is a gorgeous collection of pretty papers and cool embellishments including more of the current gold trend.

My layout for today is Two of a Kind, a snapshot of my kids taken over Easter.

The background paper I have chosen is one of my favourite papers in this collection and I decided that I wanted to use it for the background, so I have combined it with some of the plainer patterns in the range to not detract from the busyness of the pattern on the background piece.

Some close-ups:

Adore this cute little tag that is part of the ephemera pack, I added the pink bow which is also in the pack and a cute little enamel heart. A couple of sweet 2Crafty butterflies in black to stand out against the busy background.

A few chipboard quotes on this side from the Crate Thickers Phrases sheet, a heart from the ephemera pack, another chipboard butterfly and a cute spotty button.

I have finished off my layout with this 2Crafty chipboard title which I have inked then used some gold glitter over the top.

Such a pretty collection, be sure you head on over to the store and check it out.

Till next week
Fiona

Echo Park "Jack & Jill" & Kaisercraft "Say Aloha" by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone & welcome to the AAS blog today :)
I am continuing on with more creating using Echo Park's Jack & Jill collection - the boy side.

This is my 3rd layout with this range & I'm loving the different layout's I've created so far...and this collections versatility.  It is a great collection for masculine pages, whether they be little boys or big boys....or it would even suit non-gender type layouts as well.

"Be Awesome"

I really couldn't go past using the reverse side of the "Pool" paper for that fabulous orange geometrical background!  I have added some random stamping & a few flicks of distress spray stain before starting to layer up my papers & diecuts.

I can't remember exactly which Jillibean Soup mini placemat this is.  There are quite a few available in the AAS store, but not this one....but any of the mini placemats would work just as well :)
I have outlined mine with a black journal pen & backed it with some grey cardstock.

I've included a few of the Decorative brads here & there on the page - they add great interest & a bit of extra height to the page as well.

Here are a few pieces from the Ephemera diecut pack, as well as one of the pieces that I cut from the Adventure paper, which is the piece with the red arrow saying "Boys this way"....I used my craft knife to cut out the end piece of the arrow so that it could overlap onto the photo.
I've also cut out some of the little cameras from the camera paper again & popped them up on foam tape

I've added a bit of strip journaling & a little cluster of decorative brads & a 2Crafty geotag that I've coated in gesso & then coloured with my big brush pens.

I've used one of the stickers from the Alpha Sticker sheet for my title....Be Awesome - love it!

This little banner was cut from one of the pieces on the Travel paper....I only wanted the banner pieces, so I cut them out from the kraft coloured background that they were on, and I've put them up on some foam tape.

And here's a close up of the main area of the page.
I've used a few small torn pieces of the Ruler decorative tape randomly on the page as well.

Next is a few small projects for my Kaisercraft DT work using one of the new
May releases, "Say Aloha"

"Live out Loud" Canvas

Firstly I created a bit of texture on the background using the new Geo Quarters template...and then added some colour using Lime Green Kaisermist...with a few splashes of Orange Kaisermist too.

I've layered up a variety of PP's & extended them out over the edges of the canvas.
There's also lots of Collectables & Sticker pieces mixed in there as well.

LOVE all the tropical leaves in this range's Collectables pack!
They are great for adding into clusters :)

I then added a cluster of Collectables & paper blooms...plus a few of the Collectables butterflies <3
This really was a FUN collection to work with....so bright & cheery!!

Kaisercraft Product: Say Aloha – Paper Pad PP968, Collectables CT826, Sticker Sheet SS281,  Geo Quarters template T619,  Lime Green KaiserMIST KM104,  Orange KaiserMIST KM108,  Olive paper bloom F633, Sunset mini paper bloom F651,  Hot Pink rhinestone SB702,  Foam Tape T303
Other:  Flower, Border punches, Butterfly punch, Modelling paste

                                                "Hello Sunshine" card

I picked out a few of the pink papers & Collectables for this one!
& added a strip of Kaisercraft white lace for some added texture :)

The cardstock squares have been embossed using one of the new
Kaiser Embossing Folders - chevron!
And the spray of leaves is the lovely Kaiser Berry Vine Decorative Die!

A simple, but effective card that came together really quickly - which is my kinda card :)

Kaisercraft product:  Say Aloha – Paper Pad PP968,  Collectables CT826,  Chevron Embossing folder EF210,  Candy Kaisercard CD140,  White Lace EM926,  Red KaiserMIST KM109,  Berry Vine decorative die DD522,  White Card/Env CD511,  Foam tape T303
