Kaisercraft Chase Rainbows by Fiona Johnstone

Hi everyone

Back with my last pages for this month and today I have a layout to share using the new Kaisercraft Chase Rainbows from their April release. If you love super bright fun papers then this collection is for you! I'm a big fan of brights and love these papers. There are a few ready made background papers in this collection too, so all the work is done for some quick layouts.

Dream Big:

I enjoy getting messy so have created my own background here with some Dylusions and water and some blue sploshes using watered down gelato. Then I've added some stamping in navy and green to compliment my bright orange background.

Lots of paper layering, and I've also used some of the collectibles pack to add some more layers.

Some close-ups:

Layers, stamping and fabulous 2Crafty title Dream Big.

And love these quotes on the latest sticker sheets:

The collectibles are always great for a few wise words too:

I've also got one last Disney inspired page to share. This one is using the Say Cheese II collection, just can not get enough of it.

Meeting Pluto

Another character meeting, Pluto this time, just with Lily as we'd just visited Goofy and were off to go on some rides, so Zane wasn't interested. These papers were perfect colours of course and I love the touches of gold, so couldn't go past using them.

Embellishments from the Say Cheese Collection and some glittery stars from Studio Calico that added a nice touch.

The stickers are from the original Say Cheese collection, anything from the previous range will go perfectly with version II. I've used some lush, red velvet Thickers for my title.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you this month to scrap some Theme Park layouts and check out the new Kaisercraft collections.

Back again next week for a new month and new goodies!!

My Minds Eye Hello World & Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone :)

Today I am back to share one last layout for April using My Minds Eye - Hello World.
Plus I have a few of my Kaisercraft "Antique Bazaar" DT work to share as well.

Using some of the leftovers from the Hello World collection, I've created a page titled

"Leaving on a Jet Plane"

I have used the My Travels paper for the background & added some textured template work & stamping.  I started off with the circle pieces that I cut from the reverse side of the World Map paper & then worked my layers up from there until I was happy with the placement,
before I started embellishing.

The layers mostly consist of varying sized strips of different patterned papers and I've used a corner punch to round off the corners.  Here you can see a small cluster of pieces from the Mixed Bag of diecuts, as well as some 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows & the airplane from the
Hello World Wood Veneer pack.  I have coloured the 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows using my new Faber-Castel big brush pens.

Again, more pieces from the Wood Veneer pack (This pack has HEAPS of pieces in it, so there's plenty to go around!), the Mixed Bag diecuts & some stickers from the pack of 6 sticker sheets.

I have also created another cluster at the opposite corner of the photo using more pieces from the Mixed Bag, Sticker sheets & Wood Veneer pack.

Here I have used a HEAP of the banner & tag pieces from the Mixed Bag to create a travel themed banner across the top of the page with some twine.

Title is made up of alpha stickers from the Sticker Sheets.

And here is a close up view of the main area of the page.

I hope you have been inspired by this fun collection!

Next up is my DT work for Kaisercraft using the new release for April, Antique Bazaar.

My first project is a BTP  Shadow Box shelf

I've used a variety of papers from the paper pad as the background for each of the divided squares in the shadow box & then have embellished each one differently using mostly pieces from the Collectables pack....which is full of fabulous pieces, such as items
one might expect to find at an antique bazaar :))))

I painted all the front edges of the shadow box in 2 different Kaisercolour paints - Antique White & Mocha...and then finished it off by lightly inking with Kaisercraft Bark ink pad.

I covered the outside edges of the box in the Barter paper and the inside columns
& shelves with the Gather paper.

Here is a close up of some of the decorated squares of the shadow box.
More closeups of all of the decorated squares can be seen over on my blog HERE

Here I've used the new Lattice decorative die that I've cut into a smaller piece to use on the background with a Collectables clock face, more paper blooms & some Berry Vine die cut leaves.

I have added some random stamping on the plainer paper and also splashed around some of the new Kaisermist in Antique gold....which goes perfectly with the colours of this collection!
Again I've used the Lattice decorative die to make the background for this box....but this time I've used the negative pieces of the lattice that would normally just get thrown away!  I've popped them up on some foam tape to give a bit of dimension and finished off with a another Collectables piece & some punched butterflies.

This is my favourite of the urn pieces....and I've added some more diecut Berry Vine leaves, along with another Collectables piece & a mini paper bloom.

Across the top right hand corner of the box I've added a small cluster using a few different coloured paper blooms, a wooden flourish & some more of the Berry Vine decorative die leaves that I cut from a piece of Kaisercraft cork sheeting.

Other – Butterfly punches, Leaf punch, Button, Distress Ink, Modelling Paste, Mists

"The Acropolis"
Oh how I love these colours!
I used the Restore paper for my background & have added some template work using the Kaisercraft Lattice template and Kaisermist Antique Gold that I sponged on randomly....and I really love the subtle effect this gives, rather than the bold effect given when spraying the mists directly over the template.  I've also added some random stamping on the background using the Antique Bazaar clear stamp set.
And this time I've used a much larger piece of the Lattice decorative die as a background feature in behind the photos - this is a really cool die that I know will get lots of use from me!
It's definitely a must have :)))

A few paper blooms in coordinating colours to match the papers, with a few Collectables pieces, Stickers & some diecut leaves using the Leaves decorative die.

Here's a close up of the Lattice decorative die.  I have randomly cut off a few of the edges so that it wasn't a straight edged rectangle piece, and I've also randomly inked it with some distress ink.

Here's a bit of a close up of the sponged Antique Gold Kaisermist used with the Lattice template....plus the random stamping.

Other – Button, Flower, Distress Ink

And lastly....a card
"The Best of Times"

I've layered a few papers & collectables frame pieces for the main part of the card & then added a small cluster of blooms, Collectables & diecut Berry Vine leaves.  And again I've been using the fabulous new Lattice decorative die...this time as a strip across the card.

Simple Stories Enchanted Snap Cards by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I thought I would try something different and create some Project Life layouts using the Simple Stories Enchanted Snap cards. I love the idea of using Project Life particularly for holidays when we take lots of photos but they may not all be layout material.

In my case, I took a few photos of the kids visiting the princesses in Disneyland a few years ago and most remain unscrapped. The solution, PL pages.

I decided on a system for the pages - a title card, photos, a journaling card and then the filler cards all using the same page design. The Enchanted Snap Cards were just perfect for the 3 characters I have PL'ed today: Belle, Sleeping Beauty & Tinkerbell as there was the perfect filler card for each of these, in co-ordinating princess/fairy dress colours! Add a few embellishments from the ample range in this collection and these can come together pretty quickly.

Beautiful Belle

I've gone with a predominantly yellow theme here to match Belle's gown, with red to match the kids outfits and pops of black & white. The Enchanted Snap cards make it easy to match it all up, and on this spread I have mixed and matched with some Say Cheese embellishments to add in the red and black.

A close-up of my journaling card. I have printed straight onto the snap card, then added some photo stickers, washi tape and the Say Cheese bits & pieces.

The perfect filler card - Tale as Old as Time. I've added the tea-cup from the Say Cheese Bits & Pieces pack and on the 3 x 4 photo some little word stickers by MME.

Princess Aurora & Prince Phillip

Pretty pinks for this page and white to soften the black and red in the photos up.

My journaling card for this page, I have once again printed straight onto the card and added a simple crown from the Enchanted Wood Veneer pack. I've added a few other veneers to some of the other cards and photos to tie it all together.

I love the Simple Stories Photo Stickers, they are so easy to use and just a nice touch to a photo without the need to over-embellish.

Believe Magic
A little bit of a mix of colours for this one, not as many green cards in the pack, but these multi coloured ones are just fabulous for adding in and I thought very suited to Tinkerbell!

Some close-ups of my smaller cards. The perfect filler and I've just used a heart from the bits and pieces pack to tie them together.

I've used a smaller card for journaling on this spread, I've printed onto some white card then gone over the edges with a gelato to blend my greens together. Simple Stories latest brads are sticky so no need to poke holes in things - brilliant idea!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed seeing some pocket pages for something different. I've enjoyed doing them.

Till next week
Fiona

Another layout with My Minds Eye "Hello World" by Linda Eggleton

Good morning everyone.

Today I am back to share yet another page created with the fun & colourful

This time I have created a page about an amazing $5 ferry ride during a day out in Sydney.
So I guess it is kind of travel themed, but you could easily create non travel themed
layouts with this fun collection!

"The Spectacular $5 Ferry Ride"

This time I have used another of the colourful & quite busy papers for the background.
I just love all those fabulous triangles, and it was calling to be used as the background piece :)

I have then layered up a few different papers with lots of the tags cut from the My Travels paper placed here & there in amongst the layers.

I have created a small cluster with some of the flowers that I fussy cut from the Flowers paper with some Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows & Hello World wood veneers.

The title is made up from the alpha stickers that come in the set of sticker sheets - 6 sheets in total!
And above that you can see one of the wood veneers & one of the chipboard pieces from the Hello World Mixed Bag of diecuts.

I have grouped together a few of the 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows & I coloured these using my
Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens.  Just below the arrows are more little tags that I cut from the My Travels paper - this is a paper that you would want 2 of, so that you can use the tag side for cutting out all those fantastic tags, and then the other side for perhaps as a background piece, as it is a
really cool paper that would be great as a background.

I have also grouped together one of the Hello World flairs with a few stickers & fussy
cut pieces at the left/top of the photo.

More tags, wood veneers, stickers & chipboard pieces.

And here is a close up of the main area of the page - journaling yet to be added!

You can see a full list of products listed below.  I hope you have been inspired by this fun collection!
Thanks so much for dropping by :)  xx

Kaisercraft Oh So Lovely by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have a couple of layouts to share using Kaisercrafts "Oh So Lovely" collection. And Oh so Lovely it is. A very pretty & feminine collection.

My first layout today is: Hugs & Kisses

Lily and her cousin, saying farewell after they had spent the last fortnight with us over the Christmas period last year. I've added some masking with coloured impasto medium to the background, for some subtle texture. The background paper comes with the gorgeous flower cluster in the top right and I've added the complimentary one to the bottom left from the sticker sheet. The lacey background inspired my use of doilies alongside the pretty papers.

Some close-ups:

These gorgeous 2Crafty leaves I have coloured using gelato's - these are fab just to rub straight onto raw chipboard, and a perfect compliment to a small cluster of flowers.

As always the Kaisercraft collection has cute little phrases and journaling pieces which are fab to embellish with. Just can't get enough of them.

My second share for this week: A Daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with and love with all your heart.

Love this timber background paper with the floral corner. I have layered an assortment of the Oh So Lovely papers and Collectibles to create my layout.

This quote on the sticker sheet was so beautiful I decided to use it as my title rather than have a large title on this page:

And how cute are these crowns? Couldn't resist! You can find them in the Collectibles pack. The cute pink birdie is from Crate Paper's Confetti range.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out this beautiful collection in store now.

Till next week
Fiona
